The following is from FamilySearch.

Indexing Volunteers Eclipse 2011 Production Milestone

2012 has been a year of setting records, from the completion of the 1940 U.S. Census Community Project two months early, to an indexing marathon that indexed and arbitrated over 10.3 million records in 24 hours. FamilySearch indexers have shown there is no limit to their excitement, dedication, and ability to interpret sometimes-difficult handwriting. So far this year, our volunteers have helped make 249,109,019records searchable on FamilySearch.org. That’s over 92.5 million more records than were published last year, and we still have more than 30 days to go.
