In partnership with the National Archives of Ireland and FamilySearch, we are delighted to release new Irish census records, available online for the first time and completely free to search and view. Most of Ireland's 19th century census records were destroyed, making these fascinating surviving fragments vital to family historians tracing their Irish roots in the 1800s.

The records include the remaining returns from Ireland's censuses 1821-1851 as well as census search forms from the 1841 and 1851 censuses, containing rich detail on your Irish ancestors.
