Free Research Series on England Beginning Research
The Family History Library Hosts Events in August.
 
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH Genealogists and family history enthusiasts looking for help with England beginning research will be interested in English classes held at the Family History Library in August. A free Beginning England Research Series will be held on Saturday, August 18 at the Family History Library. The classes will include:

9:00 a.m.    “Census Records and Indexes”
10:00 a.m.  “Civil Registration Records & Indexes”
11:00 a.m.   “Church of England Records & Indexes”
1:00 p.m.    “Assisted Practice Time”

Other mid-week classes in August on English research will be held on:

Thursday, 16 Aug, 1:00 p.m. “Best Websites for English Research Online”
Thursday, 23 Aug, 7:00 p.m.  “Finding Pre-1837 Marriage Records in England”
Thursday, 30 Aug, 1:00 p.m.  “Finding Pre-1837 Marriage Records in England”
 
To view the class schedule online, go to www.familysearch.org.  Classes will be held in the B2 classroom on the second lower level of the Family History Library.  The library is located west of Temple Square on West Temple between North Temple and South Temple Streets in downtown Salt Lake City.  On Saturdays, parking is free to library patrons and is located behind the Church History Museum.  To register for these free classes, send an email to FHLClassReg@familysearch.org or call 1-801-240-4950.

A free Italy Research Series will be held on Saturday, August 18 at the Family History Library. The classes will include:

10:15 a.m.   “Italian (Church and Civil) Marriage Records”
11:15 a.m.   “How to Decipher Parish Records (Italy)”
12:15 p.m.   “Reading and Indexing Italian Records”
2:15 p.m.     “Records You Never Knew Existed (Italy)”
3:15 p.m.     “Italian Internet Resources”

The Family History Library Hosts Events in August.
 
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH Genealogists and family history enthusiasts looking for help with Norwegian research will be interested in Norwegian classes held at the Family History Library in August. A free Norwegian Research Series will be held on Saturday, August 25 at the Family History Library. The classes will include:

 9:00 a.m.    “A Beginner’s Case Study”
10:00 a.m.    “Next Generation”
11:00 a.m.    “Norwegian Online Databases and Seldom Used Sources”
