FamilySearch Photos and Stories Update
Putting a Face on Family Tree
If you've visited Family Tree lately you may have noticed a new feature we are really excited about. Photos uploaded and attached to a specific person in the tree now appear on the person page and are visible to anyone who has been invited to use the Photos and Stories feature. You'll notice this photo integration in two places: first, as an avatar image next to the ancestor's name, and second, in a separate ancestor-specific photos page. To view the photos page, simply click the new Photos tab that appears directly below the ancestor's birth/death information. Note how the number of photos already uploaded also appears in the tab. Click on Details to return to the Details view.
We have created a video to showcase the Family Tree integration and to provide training for how to make the most of this and the other features of Photos and Stories. Watch the video .
Have feedback?
We have a simple way for you to offer ideas, ask questions, and even report problems. The interactive feedback interface, triggered by the black Feedbackbutton at the right of the browser window, also allows you to vote on popular ideas suggested by other users. As always, your input will help us refine the tools and prepare for our general release.
Thank you for being a part of the development of this exciting tool. As you meet people who are also interested in trying out Photos and Stories on FamilySearch and sharing ancestor photos (like family, friends, the mail carrier, your dentist), don't forget to share the invite link (http://familysearch.org/
