Family History Library June 2013 Research Series

Free Research Series on Scottish Research
The Family History Library Hosts Events in June.

SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH Genealogists and family history enthusiasts looking for help with Scottish research will be interested in Scottish classes held at the Family History Library in June. A free Scottish Research Series will be held on Saturday, June 15, at the Family History Library. The classes will include:


 9:15 a.m.    “Civil Registration and Census Records”
10:15 a.m.    “Church Records”
11:15 a.m.    “Records of Property and Inheritance”
 1:00 p.m.    “Practice Time”

To view the class schedule online, go to www.familysearch.org.  Classes will be held in the B2 classroom on the second lower level of the Family History Library.  The library is located west of Temple Square on West Temple between North Temple and South Temple Streets in downtown Salt Lake City.  On Saturdays, parking is free to library patrons and is located behind the Church History Museum.  To register for these free classes, send an email to FHLClassReg@familysearch.org or call 1-801-240-4950. 

Free Hispanic Research Series (taught in Spanish)

The Family History Library Hosts Events in June.
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH Genealogists and family history enthusiasts looking for help with Hispanic research, taught in Spanish, will be interested in a series of Hispanic classes to be held at the Family History Library in June.  A free Hispanic Research Series will be held on Saturday, June 15, at the Family History Library.  The classes will include:

1:00 p.m.    “El Programa Family Tree”
2:00 p.m.    “Los Registros Históricos en Family Search”
3:00 p.m.    “La Búsqueda de Antepasados en Internet”

El próximo sábado 15 de junio de 2013, la Biblioteca de Historia Familiar en Lago Salado ofrecerá una serie de clases en Español cuyos temas son;  “Los Registros Históricos en Family Search,” “La Búsqueda de Antepasados en Internet” y “El Programa Family Tree.”  Estas clases serán de 1:00 p.m. a 4:00 p.m.  Estará en la sala de computadores en el piso principal de la Biblioteca de Historia Familiar.

A free Civil War Research Series will be held on Saturday, June 15, at the Family History Library. The classes will include:

 9:15 a.m.    “Beginning Your Civil War Research”
10:30 a.m.    “Civil War Internet Sites”
12:15 a.m.    “Goldmine of Post-Civil War Records”
 1:30 p.m.    “Other Sources for Those Who Fought”
