Community Effort
The War of 1812 Preserve the Pensions Digitization program is likely the most significant crowd sourcing campaign ever attempted in the genealogical community. The impact, however, effects historians, military enthusiasts and organizations, reenactors, and educators. Those interested in preserving this valuable piece of America's documented history can make a single contribution or become a monthly contributor of the project.
"An excellent endeavor of preserving a portion of history that people will find personally connects to themselves." ~ Fran Ellsworth
