Ireland Beginning Research Series Available
To: Family history consultants in English-speaking wards and branches
As part of the Church’s ongoing initiative to make training available to family history consultants throughout the world, we are pleased to announce that the Ireland Beginning Research Series has been added to the Research Series Classes Online page of the FamilySearch.org Web site.
The Ireland Beginning Research Series introduces key principles and processes for conducting research on Irish ancestors. It includes helpful tips on how to find and use records and sources for Irish research. The series includes the following 5 classes:
· Civil Registration
· Immigration Part 1: Strategies
· Immigration Part 2: Famine/Post Famine Sources
· Immigration Part 3: Ulster/Scots Irish Sources
We invite you to visit FamilySearch.org, view these classes, and then give us your feedback by using the feedback links. We also encourage you to use these classes with the members of your wards or branches and those you assist in family history centers as appropriate for their research needs.
