By using SharingTime, you can quickly search for additional source documents on several internet sites; E-mail collaborators in seconds; focus your research on ancestors that are closest to being ready for temple work; see where your ancestors lived; and easily identify individuals without parents (end of line). Have you ever updated your file on one computer and forgotten to transfer it to another computer and ended up with two files each containing new but different data? Have you gotten files from other researchers or the Internet but didn't want to add everything to your good file? Compare and Sync is the answer to your needs. We will cover how to use this mode to find the differences between two files and selectively update the main file with information in the secondary file. See how the filters can help you focus your work and much more.

Learn to Use Find My Past UK(TM)
Presenter: Bonnie Petrovich Family History Trainer, Speaker & Consultant Bonnie Petrovich continues her series of classes on the subscriptions websites that can be used for free from a family history center’s portal. Find My Past UK contains the most complete online index of birth, marriage and death records as well as the most complete census collection for England, Wales & Scotland, although the Scottish censuses are minimal. It also has parish baptisms, marriages and burials dating from 1538, travel and migration records, WWI, WWII records and other records of the UK. If you have ancestors from the UK you will want to learn how to use this website. It’s free from your local family history center’s portal.
FamilyInsight: For Beginners
Presenter: Cina Johnson Ohana Software Customer Service and Training
This class is designed to help new and returning users learn how to use FamilyInsight. We spend time learning what the program does and how to open your genealogy file into FamilyInsight. You will be familiarized with the screen layout as we review the fundamentals of using each feature (mode) of the program. Some of these features include finding out if you have unlinked people or pedigrees, or duplicate records for some individuals, in your file. You will learn how you can improve your file by correcting your place names so they are consistent and recognized by the new FamilySearch.
By cleaning up you file, not only will it be a better quality file but you will be better prepared to search for your family in the new FamilySearch using the Simple Update and Full Synchronization mode. FamilyInsight is a powerful but often underutilized tool and this class will help you make better use of the program.

This class will teach easy ways to create various kinds of charts, large and small, and how you can use each type of chart to enhance your research.

This class will focus on Fold3, the premier site for original US military records. This sight has records for the Revolutionary War, War of 1812, Mexican & Indian, Civil War, World War I, World War II, Vietnam War, and two non-military collections: Black History and Native American as well as US Census records, City Directors, naturalization, passport, newspapers and other records. This website has something for history buffs and family history enthusiasts.
