UGA Virtual Chapter Meetings

The following is from the UGA.

Virtual Chapter Meetings
Pour a cup of hot cocoa and put on your bunny slippers.  Fall is just around the corner and the UGA Virtual Chapter has some exciting online meetings planned in the coming months.  You can participate from the comfort of your family room.

On Thursday, September 20th, Jason Harrison with FamilySearch, will be presenting "City Directories: More Than Names and Addresses."

In October, on the 18th, Gena Philbert-Ortega will present "The Secret Lives of Women: Research Female Ancestors Using the Sources They Left Behind."

The virtual chapter meets online the third Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. Mountain Time.  To participate in the meetings, at the date and time they are scheduled, go to virtual.ugagenealogy.org, and click on the virtual chapter icon.  When prompted, click on the radio button to enter the meeting as a guest.

The presentations are free and open to the public.  Members of UGA also have access to archived presentations from the past.  Membership in UGA is just $35.00 a year.  For more information, go to our website ugagenealogy.org.
